THE GREYHOUND RAISE OVER £7,000

Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted to announce that The Greyhound has raised a total of £7,124.57 to support our work in Ipswich and wider Suffolk.

The Ipswich-based pub has been a long-time supporter of the Foundation’s work, regularly fundraising and supporting as a Gold Friend of the Foundation.

Throughout the year, The Greyhound has supported the Foundation through a range of fundraising initiatives, including an incredible effort from Head Chef Tom Pryke, who ran the London Marathon back in April, raising over £1,400.

Through regular quizzes The Greyhound has raised over £2300, as well as £920 through their annual Golf Day, whilst Foundation Fixture fundraising efforts totaled almost £500 and a further £666.75 raised through items sold on the pub’s matchday menu.

The support of local businesses like The Greyhound is essential to the Foundation’s diverse and innovative programmes across Ipswich and wider Suffolk, with the Foundation engaging with over 12,000 young people and vulnerable adults across 2025.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the whole team at The Greyhound for their continued support of the work we undertake in the community,” said Fundraising & Partnerships Officer Noah Britnell.

“A Friend of the Foundation going above and beyond in their fundraising efforts – especially Tom’s dedication in running the London Marathon – is brilliant to see, and we look forward to continuing this strong relationship moving forwards.”
