Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted to announce the official opening of the new state-of-the-art 3G facility at St Joseph’s College.

As part of the agreement, announced back in June, St Joseph’s College will host 40 hours of weekly Foundation provision on the new pitch.

The Foundation will host a range of open access and invite-only sessions at St Joseph’s, including Player Development Centres, Girls and Boys Football Development sessions, and training and fixtures as part of the Post-16 Football & Education programme.

The Foundation’s first use of the facility came on Saturday as the Girls Performance Squads took part in fixtures, with weekly sessions starting from Monday, 8 September.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to see the opening of this fantastic new 3G pitch at St Joseph’s College,” Director of Foundation, Dan Palfrey has said.

“This is an exciting step forwards for the Foundation, providing our participants and parents with a high-quality space to create more opportunities to thrive in.

“We’re delighted to be able to welcome our participants to this fantastic facility, and would like to thank everyone at St Joseph’s College for their hard work throughout this process.”
