The Advanced Training Centre (ATC) forms tier 2 of our player pathway. It is an invitation only programme where players who have been identified as being talented and gifted footballers are invited to train on a weekly basis with Ipswich Town Football Club.
Players within the ATC range from U9 to U16 and receive quality technical coaching sessions at the state of art facilities at Needham Market Football Club, Great Notley and the Mildenhall Hub. The ATC operates with small squads at each age group to ensure high intensity sessions.
Ipswich Town ATC are part of a games programme which will play against other professional Clubs every half term. For the 2021/22 season, this will include Northampton Town, Swindon Town, Cambridge United, Oxford United, Stevenage and MK Dons.
Our Advanced Training Centres consist of 30 weeks of sessions per year, with each session lasting 75 minutes. The sessions are designed to provide technical, tactical, psychological, physical and social challenges for every player.
ATC ‘s utilises the Academy syllabus which is designed to provide age appropriate training topics each week ensuring all players have the opportunity to develop and showcase their talent.
