Town defenders Maria Boswell and Megan Wearing joined participants of the Foundation’s Performance Squads at Playford Road on Friday evening.

Maria spent time watching the Squads – split into U14s and U16s – train ahead of their fixtures on Saturday morning, as well as taking time to answer questions from the young girls present.

Ahead of their fixture against Hashtag United on Sunday, the Town pair offered advice to the participants, with the Foundation’s sessions providing a key pathway for young girls into the Women’s First Team.

New for the 2024/25 season, the Performance Squads form part of Tier 1 of the Foundation’s Girls Player Pathway, with both squads training twice a week and taking part in league fixtures on Saturdays.
