Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted to announce Ipswich Town Heritage Society as the headline sponsor of our Senior Blues programme for the 2025/26 season.

The Heritage Society, led by Foundation Trustee Elizabeth Edwards alongside Tim Edwards, has been actively involved in the Foundation’s work across its diverse provision for some years.

Senior Blues is an inclusive session for the older generation, providing a safe and welcoming environment to socialise with like-minded people, sharing their experiences as Ipswich Town supporters.

Ipswich Town Heritage Society regularly attends Senior Blues, which first launched in January 2023, and has involved participants, their stories, and their memorabilia in exhibitions and projects over the years.

Elizabeth Edwards explained why they wanted to be involved as sponsors: “We have seen the great impact that the Senior Blues initiative has had within the fanbase,” Elizabeth Edwards told the Foundation website.

“It is a perfect place for us to share stories of the Club’s history, but also for us to collect memories too, from fans whose lived experience goes back to the early 1950s.”

“Senior Blues continues to flourish, and we’re delighted to have the support of the Heritage Society as we look to grow and improve the programme,” added Head of Community Engagement, James Payne.

“The aims of the Heritage Society – to safeguard and to celebrate the history of the Football Club – match perfectly those of the session, and we’re incredibly grateful to Liz and Tim for their ongoing support.”
