HEALTH & WELLBEING

GOLDEN DAYS CAFE

The Golden Days Café is designed to provide a safe space to support those living with dementia, along with carers and those who have lost loved ones to dementia.

With sessions at Portman Road and in Bury St. Edmunds, there’s support available to people across the region.

SENIOR BLUES

Senior Blues is an inclusive session for the older generation, providing an opportunity to socialise with like-minded people and the chance to talk about their experiences as an Ipswich Town supporter.

The session is designed to tackle social inclusion, which is a prevalent social issue within Suffolk, with over 130,000 residents of Suffolk feeling lonely at some point.

WALKING FOOTBALL

The Foundation’s weekly Walking Football sessions offer a fun, social environment for those who are no longer able to participate in regular football.

Taking place at Portman Road and led by qualified, friendly coaches, the sessions provide an opportunity to socialise, as well as reaping the mental and physical benefits of regular exercise.

ACTIVE BLUES

Active Blues is a programme promoting physical and mental wellbeing for smokers, those with hypertension, or those looking to live a healthier lifestyle.

Run in association with the NHS, participants can be referred by their GP or self-refer onto the programme.

ACTIVE CARE HOMES

Our Active Care Homes initiative encourages residents at Care Homes across the region to be more active, engaging in light physical activity.

Our sessions include adapted activities such as football, boxing, boccia, and so much more.

TALK CLUB

Talk Club is a speaking and listening club for men, offering talking groups, sports groups and therapy to help keep people mentally fit.

Held at Portman Road every Tuesday evening, Talk Club offers a welcoming environment for men of all ages in the local community, whether they are football fans or not.

VETERANS

Alongside Combat2Coffee, the Foundation provides a safe and welcoming space for Veterans and their families to come together, to talk to likeminded people, and to support one another.

Hosted at Portman Road, the Foundation runs monthly Coffee Mornings, and a number of Veterans Breakfasts throughout the year.

SAFEGUARDING

Ipswich Town Foundation is committed to ensuring everyone involved with the Foundation feels safe and welcome. Children, young people and adults at risk are valued and respected in line with our own values.
