Town Women stars Ella Rutherford and Lucy Watson visited the Foundation’s Emerging Talent Centre at Portman Road on Wednesday evening.

Both Ella and Lucy were making their first community appearances since signing for the Club, with Ella having joined in the Summer, and Lucy joining on loan from Chelsea this month.

Ahead of their trip to Gwalia United on Sunday, Ella and Lucy spent time answering questions from the young girls at the ETC session, covering a range of topics including their journeys into professional football, the standard of coaching and facilities in women’s football now in comparison to when they first started, and their pre-match routines ahead of a big game.

The Emerging Talent Centre sits in Tier 1 of our Girls Player Pathway, with the sessions providing high-level technical coaching for talented young footballers aged 8-12 across the region.
