The Foundation’s Charity Golf Day has raised a total of £8,148.57 to support the Foundation’s ongoing work in the community.
The day of friendly competition at Hintlesham Golf Club featured an 18-hole Stableford Competition, followed by entertainment in the form of The Kevin Carpenter Trick-Shot Show, and a two-course meal.
Former Town players Simon Milton, Wayne Brown, Bryan Hamilton, Luke Chambers, Freddie Sears, Ian Westlake, and Geraint Williams made the day even more special, joining teams as they took to the course.
The golfers were also joined by Town players Jacob Greaves and Conor Chaplin, who both took part in the Kevin Carpenter Trick-Shot Show, before taking part in a question and answer session with Town legend Matt Holland, who played a crucial role in organising the day.
The Foundation would like to place on record its thanks to Hintlesham Golf Club for their hospitality in hosting the event, as well as to Trustees Matt Holland and Peter Over for their support in organising the event.
Thank you to headline sponsor Birketts for their support on the day and for taking part in the competition, as well as to Ipswich Audi and Mr. Wheeler Wines for their contribution in providing exclusive prizes.
All funds raised from the event are going towards the Ipswich Town Foundation’s work around Suffolk and the surrounding areas, supporting the delivery of 29 diverse programmes to over 9,000 young people and vulnerable adults each week.
