Kalvin Phillips and Leif Davis visit Portman Road Soccer School

Town stars Kalvin Phillips and Leif Davis rounded out a Summer of Soccer Schools by visiting participants at Portman Road earlier this week.

Kalvin, alongside former Leeds teammate Leif, made his first appearance at a Foundation session since his loan move from Manchester City earlier in the month, less than 24 hours on from making his Town debut away at AFC Wimbledon.

Both players took part in question and answer sessions with the young participants present, who had spent the day taking part in a range of coaching drills and small-sided games.

Leif and Kalvin then handed out medals to the Players of the Day as chosen by their coaches, marking the end of a fantastic day at Portman Road.

“I’ve really enjoyed it, seeing all the kids enjoying playing football with big smiles on their faces,” Leif told the Foundation website.

“We always keep our standards high. It’s always important for us to come down here and brighten their day up. If that was me [at their age] I’d have loved it if a player had come in.”

“It’s something that I’ve always liked to do,” Kalvin added.

“Brightening up people’s days and making them feel like they’ve had a good day, for me that makes my day a lot better.”
