Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted to announce Ipswich Town Heritage Society as the sponsor of our Girls’ Performance Squads for the 2024/25 season.
The Heritage Society, led by Foundation trustee Elizabeth Edwards alongside Tim Edwards, has been actively involved in the Foundation’s work across its diverse provision, supporting projects such as the Golden Days Café, Senior Blues, and Fans of the Future, as well as delivering workshops to local primary schools.
The Performance Squads are a new programme for the 2024/25 season, and come as part of a restructure to the Girls’ Football provision. The sessions form part of Tier 1 of our Girls’ Player Pathway, open to girls aged U13 to U16.
The two squads, split into U13/U14s and U15/U16s, will train twice a week, with both teams playing fixtures on Saturday mornings.
As part of the agreement, the Ipswich Town Heritage Society logo will be displayed on the front of both Performance Squads’ matchday shirts, as well as on an outerwear zip top to be worn at training and on matchdays.
“Having been involved in sponsorship of Ipswich Town Women for a number of years, we are delighted to extend oursupport through the 13s-16s provision, as part of the Foundation,” the Heritage Society have said.
“The progress of Women’s football at ITFC has been quite remarkable, and we wish everyone all the very best for a great future.”
“We’re delighted to have the support of the Ipswich Town Heritage Society this season,” Girls Football Development Manager Eva Hubbard has said.
“This season is an exciting time for the Foundation’s Girls’ Football provision, and we’re really pleased to have the Heritage Society onboard as we look to provide increased access to football for young girls across Suffolk and beyond.”
The agreement will also see Ipswich Town Heritage Society join as a Gold Tier Friend of the Foundation, further cementing their support for the Foundation’s work in the community across Suffolk and surrounding areas.
