Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of a new fundraising initiative, Friend of the Foundation.
Friend of the Foundation offers supporters and local businesses the opportunity to become part of a family that helps the Foundation to deliver its diverse and innovative programmes, with over 9,000 young people and vulnerable adults currently engaged on a weekly basis.
With the Foundation still only in its fifth year, the initiative will provide an essential additional funding stream at a time where the need in community has never been greater, yet funding is becoming more challenging to obtain, and staffing and operating costs are increasing.
“We’re thrilled to launch our new fundraising initiative,” Director of Foundation Dan Palfrey has said.
“This will provide vital income to allow us to continue our programmes and engagements to the local community.
“We are acutely aware that the need in the community is growing, therefore, Friend of the Foundation, will enable us to reach more people and groups in the community that are in need.
“The supporters and local business community have been incredibly generous over the last 12 months, and we hope that we can continue to represent you with pride in the community by making a positive difference to the lives of people.”
Friend of the Foundation is a two-fold initiative, with packages available to supporters and local businesses.
The supporter packages consist of three, monthly donation options – £2.50, £5, or £10 per month, with each package providing exclusive rewards to those who sign up.
To provide context, donating £2.50 a month will enable us to provide a warm space and refreshments to participants of our programmes that aim to combat loneliness, such as the Golden Days Café and Senior Blues. Donating £5 a month will enable us to provide participants across our disability pathway with access to weekly sessions. Donating £10 a month will provide a child in receipt of free school meals with food and activities during half term.

The Corporate packages consist of single donations from local businesses, with packages split into three tiers – Gold, Silver, and Bronze, priced at £2,400, £1,200, and £600 respectively.
Two Gold donations will allow the Foundation to fund its Refugee Football programme for a full year, or to purchase a refurbished powerchair, ensuring that there are no barriers to playing football for people across Suffolk. A Silver donation will allow us to run our Senior Blues programme for a full year. A Bronze donation will allow us to purchase sensory equipment for disabled participants and supporters.
