Post 16 student to officiate Isle of Man fixture
Ella Karkosa, a student on the Foundation’s Post 16 Football & Education programmestudent Ella Karkosa will be part of an all-female officiating team for a fixture involving the Isle of Man Women’s National Team this week.
The fixture forms part of a female football tournament designed to inspire and encourage young girls to get into football, and marks International Women’s Day on Friday, 8 March.
Having been selected by the English FA, Ella has expressed her excitement at the opportunity.
“I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to fly out and be part of the officiating team, for a game featuring a senior national team,” Ella has said.
“It’s going to be a really good experience and it can hopefully help me progress even further within my officiating.”
