Finn, a participant of the Foundation’s Elite Player Development Centre and Advanced Training Centre, has progressed through the Foundation player pathway and signed for the Club’s Academy.
Finn was a participant at the Foundation’s Bury St. Edmunds Elite Player Development Centre last season, progressing into the Advanced Training Centre at Needham Market this season. Finn was invited to take part in a Talent ID fixture with the Academy, followed up by an eight-week trial.
Impressing Academy staff throughout the process, Finn will join up with the Academy’s U12 team, and follows fellow Foundation participants, Taeshawn, Ashton, and Zach, in progressing through the player pathway since the start of the 2023/24 season.
“We are really pleased with the progress Finn has made during his trial and since signing Academy registration,” Academy Local Recruitment Officer Tom Rumsey has said.
“It shows how vital The Foundation is regarding playing a part in providing a pathway for local players.
“We are excited at how the link between the Foundation and Academy continues to grow in ensuring that these opportunities are available.”
Finn’s progression shows further evidence of the value of the Foundation’s Player Development Pathway, with players regularly making the step into the Club’s Academy.
“I would like to thank the management team and coaches at Bury Town Youth FC for their support of Finn during his trial period and allowing him to receive this opportunity,” added Head of Academy Recruitment, Alex Kaufman.
“We look forward to continuing to build on a positive relationship with Bury Town as one of a number of key Clubs for us in Suffolk.”
Everyone at the Ipswich Town Foundation would like to congratulate Finn and wish him all the best for the future.
