Town’s first team players have kindly come together to provide brand new kit to the Ipswich Town Foundation’s Youth Disability participants.
Following on from Disability Ambassador George Edmundson’s donation to the Adult Disability participants last season, a collection of Town’s stars purchased the kit, before Janoi Donacien and Christian Walton visited the participants at Portman Road to hand over the kit on Wednesday evening.
Janoi and Christian spent time talking to the participants before presenting them each with brand new shirts, shorts and socks. The pair then joined in with a short training session which included taking part in small-sided games.
The donation comes just a few days before the Foundation’s Youth Disability participants take part in their first friendly tournament, with the likes of Hashtag United and Lavenham Youth FC making the trip to Portman Road to take them on this Saturday.
The Foundation’s Youth Disability sessions provide a safe and inclusive environment designed to improve sporting and social skills, as well as self-esteem and confidence. The sessions take place at Portman Road on a Saturday morning, running between 10AM-11AM.
