Staff support FIND ahead of Christmas period

Ahead of the festive period, staff from the Club and the Foundation have been volunteering at charity partner FIND (Families in Need).

Across three days, 48 members of staff supported volunteers at the foodbank, stocking and packing food packages to be sent out to those in need in the run up to Christmas.

Staff packed over 500 boxes across three nights, with participants of a Foundation programme also supporting on Wednesday afternoon.

Amongst those staff members was Town midfielder Dom Ball, who has volunteered regularly with FIND since he joined the Club in 2022.

“It’s nice to be back – spent a lot of time here last year helping out doing deliveries and packing,” Dom told the Foundation website.

“It’s brilliant – the amount of staff that are here is incredible. It’s such an important time of year.

“Every Club I’ve been at, [volunteering at Foodbanks] is always something that I’ve enjoyed and I’ve felt that I’ve been able to help the community that I’ve joined.

“I spent a lot of time here last year and I plan to continue to do that, because you just realise when you’re out delivering how lucky you are and how helping out can make such a difference.”

This year is the second year that the Foundation and the Club have volunteered to support FIND, following the announcement of FIND as a charity partner in August 2022. Since then, the Club and the Foundation have continued to support the foodbank, with Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks hosting donation collections at Portman Road on matchdays across the last two seasons.
