Foundation recognised at Active Suffolk Awards

Ipswich Town Foundation’s Health & Wellbeing department has been awarded Active Community of the Year at the Active Suffolk Awards 2023.

The awards, the ceremony for which was held at Trinity Park last week, saw individuals, communities, organisations, and groups from across Suffolk come together to celebrate their contributions to sport and physical activity.

Alongside the Foundation’s Health & Wellbeing department’s success in the Active Community of the Year category, Community Apprentice Lauren Revill and Foundation Volunteer Eoin McNamee were nominated for Activity Champion of the Year, whilst the Ipswich Town Foundation Frame Footballers were nominated for Team of the Year for their achievements at the Frame Football National Shield at St George’s Park in May.

The achievement is further evidence of the Foundation’s commitment to providing accessible support to people of all ages and its vision to build an empowered, inspired, and inclusive community to be proud of, with staff equally committed to encouraging, developing and supporting the individuals and groups that they engage with not only in Suffolk but across the wider region.
