Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks, a group comprising Town supporters who are dedicated to addressing local food poverty, recently participated in an initiative at one of the Foundation’s Partner Schools, Holbrook Primary.
The local school has recently been encouraging students to contribute non-perishable items, which Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks will gather and donate to local foodbank and Club charity partner, FIND (Families In Need).
As part of the ongoing collection campaign, Charlie Nixon, who is an advocate for campaigning and working towards defending the local community against food poverty, delivered two educational sessions to the young students.
Charlie first spoke with the school council, where he spoke on the aims of Ipswich Fans Supporting Foodbanks and answered questions from the young pupils following his discussions.
Following this, Charlie conducted an assembly for all year groups, giving a presentation outlining the recommended donation items and providing information on how donations will benefit local people.
