Foundation Players Sign for Academy

Three participants of the Ipswich Town Foundation’s Elite Player Development Centre have been signed to the Ipswich Town Academy.

Ashton has joined the Club’s U13s, with Taeshawn and Zack joining the U11 group.

Ashton was a participant of the Foundation’s Elite Player Development Centre in Dagenham before being identified at a trial event at Playford Road in the Summer.

Taeshawn took part in the Foundation’s Portman Road EPDC sessions before achieving a trial for the Advanced Training Centre and being picked up by a scout at grassroots level.

Zack was an attendee of the Foundation’s Eye EPDC and, like Taeshawn, was identified by the Academy through scouting at grassroots level.

“The progression of the boys shows the importance of the Foundation and its football pathway for long term development,” said Head of Academy Recruitment Alex Kaufman.

“Combined with our regular fixture and Talent ID opportunities, we hope to see further boys achieve a place within our Academy.”

The signings provide evidence of the success of the Foundation’s Player Development Pathway, with Ashton, Taeshawn and Zack the latest in a line of players to work their way through our programmes into the Academy.

“Everyone at Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted for Ashton, Taeshawn and Zack joining Ipswich Town Academy,” added Boys Football Development Manager Bradley Joy.

“A huge well done to all three for their hard work and commitment – we look forward to seeing them develop and grow through the next chapter of their football journey.”

Everyone at the Foundation would like to congratulate Ashton, Taeshawn and Zack and wish them all the best for the future.
