Foundation partner with St Ives Town

Ipswich Town Foundation and St. Ives Town Football Club are delighted to announce a new partnership.

The partnership will focus on the development of players, with St. Ives Town players to be given opportunities to train in Ipswich Town Foundation sessions, including Player Development Centres, Elite Player Development Centres and Advanced Training Centres across the region.

There will also be opportunities for St. Ives Town to take part in training night fixtures with Ipswich Town Foundation teams at relevant ages and locations.

As part of the partnership, The Foundation will have access to St. Ives Towns new 3G facility where community-based events & activities will be held. St. Ives Town coaches will also be provided with two CPD events per season.

‘St. Ives Town FC youth are very excited to have entered into a partnership programme with Ipswich Town Foundation,’ said Paul Everest of St. Ives Town.

‘We are happy to host this progressive football club at our fantastic new 3G facility, whilst also giving our youth players an opportunity to be invited into academy training sessions and games.’

‘The Foundation is delighted to expand its provision across Cambridgeshire and use St Ives Town’s state-of-the-art 3G pitch for various activities and events,’ added Head of Foundation, Jason Curtis.

‘Having St Ives Town’s support to help engage and inspire young footballers is important given their respectable reputation in the area. In return we are delighted to support their coach’s development and offer players exciting opportunities.’

This agreement is the latest in a line of partnerships between the Foundation and grassroots football clubs across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, and Norfolk which bring immediate benefits to all parties.
