Foundation Launch Bury Golden Days Café

Ipswich Town Foundation is launching a new Golden Days Café in Bury, with the first session taking place on Wednesday 20 September 2023.

The Golden Days Café is designed to provide a safe space to support those living with dementia, their carers, and those who have lost loved ones to dementia.

The sessions at Portman Road have proved to be a successful and popular addition to the Foundation’s provision, with a community growing since its launch in June 2022.

The new sessions in Bury will be hosted at Bury Town Football Club, running from 10.30am until 12.30pm on the third Wednesday of every month, starting on 20 September, with spaces priced at £6 per attendee.

“After building a thriving community at our Golden Days Café in Ipswich, we are delighted to finally be able to expand our support for people living or affected by dementia to the people living in and around Bury St. Edmunds,” said Foundation Health and Wellbeing Manager Leanne Smith.

“We are looking forward to meeting new members of the community and working alongside them to provide support for their carers and those affected.”

Those interested can reserve a space and find out more information by contacting Leanne Smith at leanne.smith@itfc.co.uk or by calling 01473 400987.
