Foundation Fixture raises over £32,000

Ipswich Town Foundation is delighted to reveal that April’s Foundation Fixture against Charlton Athletic has raised £32,388.79 for the Foundation.

Foundation Fixture set out with the aim of raising awareness of the work Ipswich Town Foundation carries out in the community, whilst also providing a fundraising opportunity to allow the Foundation to continue to grow.

The funds raised will go back into the community, helping people in need across Suffolk and the surrounding areas, further facilitating the Foundation’s vision of producing an empowered, inspired, and inclusive community to be proud of.

“We’re delighted with the total amount raised from Foundation Fixture,” Director of Foundation Dan Palfrey has told the Foundation website.

“A huge thank you to everyone who donated on the day through our various initiatives, from the Club, the Greyhound Pub, supporters donating on the day, Steven Eagell Toyota and supporters that donated through the matchworn shirt Crowdfunder.

All funds raised will be reinvested back into the community and will go a long way to helping the Foundation change lives across Suffolk and the surrounding areas.”

A large part of the total raised was made up by the Crowdfunder campaign that the Foundation ran, offering entrants the chance to win the matchworn shirts from the game. The campaign raised £17,867.85 for the Foundation, with winners receiving their shirts over the last few weeks.

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Crowdfunder campaigns in the lead up to and post Foundation Fixture on 15th April,” Head of Business and Operations Sarah Dooley added.

Meeting some of the winners of the signed match worn shirts and listening to their passion for the club and the work we deliver as a Foundation has been truly humbling and further encourages us to continue making such a positive impact.”

As well as these funds, Steven Eagell Toyota kindly donated a new Toyota Proace van. This donation is already having a positive impact, with the Foundation now able to take inflatables, equipment, and staff to events across the region.

“The Foundation’s brand-new Toyota Proace has already had a fantastic impact in allowing the team to take equipment and inflatables around East Anglia to improve everyone’s experience at Foundation events such as the Tour of Suffolk 2023, the Suffolk Show and various other events around local schools and communities,” Chris Mitchell, who worked with Steven Eagell Toyota on the donation, told the Foundation website.

We cannot thank Steven Eagell Toyota enough for their incredible support and the difference it will make both now and in the future.”

The Foundation would like to place on record its sincerest thanks to the supporters, the Club and local businesses for their generosity in donating and their continued support of the work we are undertaking in the community.
