The Official ITFC Supporters Club’s Meet the Players event, hosted in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite at Portman Road on 20 February, has raised £1916.58 for the Foundation’s health and wellbeing provision.
The evening proved very popular, with over 200 people in attendance at Portman Road to have their chance to meet, take photos with and get autographs from three of Town’s first team stars.
Town legend and Foundation trustee Matt Holland hosted the event, with his fellow trustee and first team player Conor Chaplin joined by teammates Wes Burns and Leif Davis. The trio answered questions from both Matt and the fans in attendance on a range of topics including their careers to date and their thoughts on the team’s performance this season.
Speaking after the event, Conor said, “I really enjoyed the evening, there was a really good turnout and the money raised will go to a good cause, improving our health and wellbeing provision.
“Hopefully this can be the first of many events like this and we can raise more funds for the Foundation.”
The Foundation is very grateful for the generosity of the Supporters Club in donating the proceeds from the event, and to those who attended the event for contributing to a successful evening.
