Ipswich Town Foundation visited Haverhill Rovers FC, a partner club, to deliver a professional development session on using the social corner in training sessions earlier this week.
Michael Torode and Ian Hempstead, Football Development Officers, delivered the session to a group of coaches at Haverhill, who coach a range of different ages from U7s – U14s.
The session included both a classroom and practical session, which allowed discussion amongst coaches and the chance to share ideas, followed by the opportunity to watch Michael and Ian deliver a session.
“It was great to see our hardworking coaches at Haverhill Rovers all together last night enjoying CPD delivered by Ipswich Town Football Development Officer, Michael Torode,” Lois Balfour, Football Development Officer for Haverhill Rovers FC said after the event.
“It’s a great opportunity for our coaches to learn and then showcase their knowledge in their team environments.”
“Firstly, I would like to say it was great to see so many Haverhill Football Club Coaches willing to up skill themselves on Wednesday evening,” added Michael Torode.
“The CPD event focused on the social corner and creating a fun and safe environment to ensure all players continue to develop. Ipswich Town Foundation would like to thank Haverhill Rovers for hosting us and we look forward to the next CPD event.”
