Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks will be hosting their third foodbank of the season when Town host Shrewsbury Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues’ arm of the fan-led initative was launched in January, with their inaugural foodbank being a great success.
Ahead of the Forest Green Rovers game in January, Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks (ITFSF) collected 18 full crates of food and cash donations of £675, which has since been delivered to the Club’s charity partner, FIND (Families in Need).
Representatives from ITFSF will be collecting food and cash donations again this weekend across two different locations.
Home supporters will be able to find them in the FanZone while both sets of fans will be able to donate near to the Sir Bobby Robson statue on Portman Road, behind the Cobbold Stand.
Lists of in demand items and other ‘general asks’ can be found in the image attached.
Fans Supporting Foodbanks is based on the idea that football fans can come together, even if they back different teams, to support the community against poverty.
Nationally, Fans Supporting Foodbanks has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of donations for local causes.
