Following feedback from supporters, the Foundation can confirm that sensory packs will be available free of charge to applicable season ticket holders.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the Ipswich Town Foundation will now provide sensory packs for matchdays at Portman Road.
This has been made possible thanks to funding from Town fan Steve Kirby as part of Vodafone’s VeryMe rewards and a donation to the disability provision in memory of Martin Swallow.
The sensory packs are designed to enhance the experience of fans, particularly those with autism. Each pack is presented in an official Ipswich Town Foundation drawstring bag, and contains a disability awareness lanyard, as well as noise-cancelling headphones, a Foundation branded fidget spinner and a Foundation branded soft stress ball.
Initially, supporters only had the option to rent a sensory pack on a game-to-game basis with a refundable £10 deposit. This option is still available.
Rented packs can be collected and returned at the Disabled Supporters Matchday Ticket Office on Constantine Road. To rent a pack for an upcoming matchday, supporters should contact Lee Smith, the Club’s Disability Liaison Officer (DLO), on lee.smith@itfc.co.uk.
Season ticket holders also have the option to obtain and keep a sensory pack free of charge.
Any season ticket holders who would like to request a free sensory pack can do so by completing an application form here.
Upon completing the form, the Club’s DLO will be provide further details on how to acquire the pack.
