Forest Green game foodbank successful

The Club and the Foundation are pleased to announce that the foodbank collection from the home fixture with Forest Green Rovers saw 18 full crates of food collected, and £675 raised for Families in Need (FIND).

The collection was organised in partnership with Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks following the success of the last collection prior to the Plymouth game. Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks is an arm of the original Fans Supporting Foodbanks initiative which started in 2015 when Liverpool and Everton fans came together to show solidarity with those experiencing poverty.

Fans Supporting Foodbanks is based on the idea that football fans can come together, even if they back different teams, to support the community against poverty.

The food collected in the FanZone ahead of the Forest Green game have been delivered to FIND, who will organise for it to be distributed to those in difficult circumstances.
