Town players visit Foundation sessions

Town players Wes Burns and Christian Walton paid a visit to one of the Foundation’s Soccer Schools which was taking place at Claydon Primary School on Thursday afternoon last week.

Wes and Christian both joined in with the session before answering questions and giving advice to the young players. The group were all taking part in age-appropriate sessions led by Foundation coaches.

Our Soccer Schools take place during every school holiday and provide a full day’s worth of coaching from ITFC staff. We have Soccer Schools running at venues across Suffolk and whether participants are new to football, or are already a budding future Blue, the Soccer Schools programme has been put together to provide a fun, holiday activity at an affordable price.

Ipswich Town Women duo Lucy O’Brien and Summer Hughes also attended a Foundation session on the same day as they came to Portman Road to visit our Girls Development Camp.

The pair offered guidance to the young blues before speaking about their journey in the women’s game and how they are getting on currently.
