Cam Burgess visits Soccer School

Town defender, Cameron Burgess visited one of the Foundation’s February half-term soccer schools hosted at Stowupland High School yesterday afternoon.

50 children between 6 and 12 years old in attendance were given the opportunity to meet Cameron; who joined in with a part of the afternoons session. Following this, the children took part in a question & answer session with the centre back before taking some photographs and getting the Town stars autograph.

Cameron then presented some of the attendees with Ipswich Town Foundation medals. There are awarded to the players of the day; those who have been recognised by the coaches for excellent team work and a positive attitude throughout the day.

After his visit, Cameron said “it was fantastic to come along and see the young players, they were all loving the camp and it shows how great these sort of things are during half term.”

“I remember coming to these when I was young and they were really fun!”

The Foundation run Soccer Schools during every school holiday period, at Portman Road, the Home of Ipswich Town Football Club as well as locations around Suffolk and its surrounding counties.
