Town number eight, Lee Evans, took the time to visit one of the Foundation’s half-term soccer schools at Portman Road yesterday afternoon.
Youngsters from the session were given the opportunity to meet with Lee, who was happy to offer advice to the young players. The group were all taking part in age-appropriate sessions led by Foundation coaches.
The Town midfielder was then on-hand to present prizes, including some matchday tickets and medals to the young footballers who had excelled in the session, before also hosting a Q&A session and staying behind to sign the various items that had been brought along by the children.
“It was great to attend the half-term session today,” Lee said following the visit.
“It’s so important to get out in the community, and it is something I genuinely enjoy doing.”
“Seeing so many youngsters enjoying playing football, with plenty also in Ipswich Town shirts is always special, and it shows just how important it is for players, like myself, to show our presence in the community whenever possible.”
