Chaplin, Vincent-Young and Hladky visit Foundation sessions

Conor Chaplin, Vaclav Hladky and Kane Vincent-Young all gave up their time yesterday to support two of the Ipswich Town Foundation’s programmes.

Just over 12 hours on from bagging a brace in Town’s 4-0 victory over Morecambe on Tuesday night, Chappers returned to Portman Road for his latest community appearance.

The 25-year-old visited Wednesday morning’s Senior Blues initiative, which is hosted in the Hall of Fame Restaurant within the Cobbold Stand.

Funded by Active Suffolk, the programme seeks to help older people improve their mental and physical wellbeing by providing an inclusive environment for social engagement and light physical activity.

Wednesday marked the second Senior Blues session, with Conor taking the opportunity to engage with those in attendance by listening to their various stories from supporting the Club, as well as sharing his own reflections from his time in Suffolk so far.

Senior Blues runs from 10.30am-12pm on every second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with the next one set to take place on Wednesday, 8 February.

Later that day, Vas and Kane visited the Foundation’s Player Development Centre, which takes place on the practice pitch at Portman Road.

The duo joined in with the group before answering questions and signing autographs.

Player Development Centres are weekly coaching sessions which are open to players of all abilities aged 6-12, with the Foundation running them across Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.
