Town forward Gassan Ahadme visited St Mary’s Primary School in Woodbridge yesterday afternoon, surprising a group of young footballers taking part in one of the Foundation’s Soccer Schools.
Ipswich Town Foundation deliver multiple sessions such as this in the eastern region during half-term breaks and school holidays, with aim to keep young people active and social while out of school. The session consists of various training activities alongside a mix of fun games and mini tournaments.
The Moroccan joined chatted to the particapants about his journey in football before signing various items, as well as posing for selfies with the youngsters.
“It was really good to go down to the Soccer School and see all of the children having fun.” said Gassan.
“It is great that there is these sort of camps that children can come and play football with their friends when they’re not in school.
“Hopefully me being there made them smile with Christmas around the corner.”
