Foundation partner with Histon Hornets Football Club

The Foundation are delighted to announce a partnership with Histon Hornets Football Club.

The partnership will bring immediate benefits for both parties through their commitments to support one another as set out below.

Players of Histon Hornets will receive discounts to Foundation activities and sessions as well as coaches of the Club receiving CPD sessions throughout the year whilst Ipswich Town Foundation branding will appear on site at the Histon & Impington Recreation Ground.

Michael Torrode, Football Development Officer for West Suffolk and Cambridgeshire for the Foundation said: “Ipswich Town foundation are delighted to partner up with Histon Hornets, they are one of the largest clubs in Cambridgeshire.

“This partnership will benefit both players and coaches as well as the wider community of Histon, helping the younger generation of players make memories that will last a lifetime.

 “This is yet again showing the Foundation’s intent to provide football to as many children as possible all over East Anglia.”

Steve Carrington, Chairman of Histon Hornets, said: “Histon Hornets Football Club are excited to be forming a partnership with Ipswich Town Foundation.

“We look forward to forging closer links with a thriving professional side in East Anglia, and the benefits that it will bring for our players and coaches.

“With over four hundred players, from under-6 through to adult, this partnership will offer all our players fantastic opportunities to be involved with Ipswich Town, with everything from match-day experiences, to coaching opportunities and support with our annual 5-aside tournament.”
