TOWN SQUAD SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER

Town’s first-team players have visited hospitals and hospices in the region to donate Christmas presents and spread festive cheer this week.

Members of the Blues’ senior squad went to Ipswich Hospital and EACH (East Anglian Children’s Hospices) on Tuesday before then heading to St Elizabeth Hospice, West Suffolk Hospital and St Nicholas Hospice on Wednesday.

The year’s visits are the first since before the Covid-19 pandemic, with four or five players from Kieran McKenna’s squad going on each visit.

“Community is very important and that’s especially the case in Ipswich,” Christian Walton told the Club website.

“It’s good for us to get around and spread some Christmas cheer. Some of these people will be in hospital for Christmas Day, but it is great to see the staff looking after them as best as they possibly can.”
