Sone Aluko paid a visit to St Mary’s Primary School in Woodbridge yesterday afternoon, surprising a group of young footballers and taking part in one of the holiday camps provided by the Foundation.
Ipswich Town Foundation deliver multiple sessions such as this in the eastern region during half-term breaks and school holidays, with aim to keep young people active and social while out of school. The session consists of various training activities alongside a mix of fun games and mini tournaments.
The Blues forward joined in the session and signed various items for participants, as well as posing for selfies with the youngsters.
“It’s great to come along today and get out in the community.” Sone told the Foundation website following the visit.
“I really look forward to taking part in sessions such as this.
“You can see how much the kids enjoy these camps, and it is so important for the younger generation to have access to them during school holidays.”
