Jake Dolden joined the ITFC Post-16 Football and Education programme in 2020 and the Foundation has been extremely fortunate to see him progress as both a student and as an athlete.
Having approached this pathway with an open mind, Jake has taken onboard everything that has been asked of him and the staff at Ipswich Town Foundation could not ask any more of him. Having departed for the US, Jake will continue both his football and education at the University of Carolina who play in the NCCAA D1.
“Thank you to the staff, coaches and players at Ipswich Town Foundation. I have really enjoyed my two years at Ipswich and I can’t thank those at the Club enough.” Jake Dolden told the Foundation website.
“It’s been a really good journey and I cannot wait to continue my footballing dream in the United States.”
“Jake was a leader from the first time I met him in preseason and carried this through for the whole two years on the programme. He has excelled both in the classroom and on the pitch.” said Luke Worley, Football & Education Officer.
“He had a desire to go to America from the start and I have supported that as best as possible. Being able to support with my network of coaches in America helped make sure we found the right place for his next steps.”
We will follow his journey from afar and he will be welcome back to train with us anytime he is back in the area.
We wish Jake all the very best for the future, and we will be watching with a keen eye for his progress. He will always be welcome back here at Ipswich Town.
