Girls Open Trials

At the start of the 20/21 Ipswich Town Foundation became the feeder provision for the FA Girls Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC). Which was previously delivered by Suffolk FA. We were naturally delighted with this slight change within the girl’s game which makes total sense from a player/parent perspective to understand a fluid progressive pathway.  

2022/2023 Season Trials

We would like to invite players to attend our Open Trial ahead of the new season commencing in September. During the 22/23 season we will be running 2 open access PDC centres, 5 Elite player Development Centres, 1 Advanced Training Centre and 1 Emerging Talent Centre (previously ACC). Please see below some key aspects, our Pyramid Pathway, as well as trial registration details.

*If you currently train within Ipswich Town EPDC, ATC , or ACC centres you do NOT need to attend this trial.

Ipswich Town Female Player Pathway  (u9 – u16) include.

• Regular communication in the form of parent emails and social media updates (@ITFCFoundation)
• Training provided by experienced qualified Ipswich Town coaching staff
• Venues located across East Anglia to have maximum coverage, and reduced travel time for players.
• New coaching syllabus in line with Ipswich Town Women & ACC
• 30 weeks training split into 2 x 15-week blocks
• Internal games provide opportunities to be selected for external fixtures
• Training night matches v local grassroots clubs
• Regular visits from ATC and ACC staff to progress along the player pathway
• Extensive Fixture Programme against other professional clubs (For selected players)
• Football Tour and Development Camp opportunities
• Ball girl opportunities for both men’s and women’s 1^st team games.
• Brand new player report system which will feature both individual player challenges and easy to understand traffic light colour coded grading system.
• Work experience opportunities for players of appropriate age
• Priority in receiving Football & Education placements.
• Visits from Ipswich Town Women 1^st Team players & Coaching staff

Places will be offered along the pathway to those successful after the initial trial. If you cannot attend the registered trial date, please contact harry.watts@itfc.co.uk and I can look to provide you with a trial on a development centre training night of your choice, if spaces are available.
