TEAMITFC Tour of Suffolk Cycle Challenge 2022

TEAM ITFC is back with Town legends taking part in charity cycle ride.

Ipswich Town Foundation and Futurestars Charity have teamed up to deliver a Tour of Suffolk Cycle Ride which will raise funds for both charities.

Following the success of the many cycle rides in Europe and the UK from 2014 to 2017, we have decided it is time to get back on the bike, take up a challenge and raise much needed funds for two charities.

The event will see riders complete 150 miles of cycling up through the Suffolk countryside and back along the coast over 2 days on Sunday 12^th June & Monday 13^th June 2022.

Riders will depart and return to Portman Road. Team ITFC will be led by former Town Player and Futurestars director Simon Milton, along with former Blues skipper and Ipswich Town Foundation trustee, Matt Holland.
Town legends Terry Butcher and Russell Osman have also pledged their support for the event and will be taking part.

Every cyclist will receive a Tour of Suffolk cycling shirt, a pre-departure breakfast on 12th June, dinner, bed and breakfast at Potters Resort at Hopton-on-Sea and a BBQ at Portman Road on return to Portman Road.

Ipswich Town Foundation was set up to deliver an innovative range of football and sporting activities, to engage, inspire and develop as many people as possible. The Trust represents Ipswich Town Football Club within the local and surrounding communities, acting as an extension of the Club to engage with local people and make a genuine impact on their lives. Futurestars charity supports the most underprivileged children in Ghana and Togo. Although state education in Ghana is free of charge, the costs of the basic equipment needed for a child to attend school – registration fees, transportation, uniform, shoes, books and stationery – are not free, meaning that education is out of reach for so many families living in acute poverty. Registration is £99.00 per person and the fundraising target, which is to be divided equally between the two charities after all expenses are paid, is £900.00.
