We are very grateful to Claydon FC for a recent donation of blue and white stripped kit which they no longer required which will be used by our Adult Disability team for the 2021/22 season and beyond. Edgar and a member of the Claydon FC committee joined Lee (Disability team coach) and Leanne (Community Engagement Coordinator) at Portman Road recently to hand over the kind donation.
Our team got the opportunity to wear their new kit straight away as they took part in a friendly game with Lancaster Lions FC. The game was played in glorious sunshine on the Portman Road field turf pitch on Saturday 18 September. The game was a fantastic event for both sets of players who were delighted to get back to competitive fixtures following a long lay off due to Covid-19.
The game ended in a high scoring, 3-3 draw with some fantastic play and goals by both teams. Lancaster Lions have produced a highlights reel of the game, this can be viewed below or on their YouTube channel.
More matches and updates will follow soon! If you are interested in joining our Adult or Youth disability sessions, please contact our Community Engagement Coordinator, Leanne Smith via email on leanne.smith@itfc.co.uk
